i went to NTU hostel today. i'm really not getting used to the idea of living in a hostel. especially if there are residential cats around like wad my brother says. scared!!

i passed by my previous flat on the way to NTU, and was overwhelmed with emotions. i can still remember my primary school days vividly. waking up early in the mornings, then proceeding down to wait for uncle peh's bus (my school bus), always sitting beside my senior, amelia who is ever so caring towards me, having to endure the coldness of the mornings.. that was when i was only in primary 2. i also remembered my grandparents taking care of me when i was in primary 1. at that time, my parents would send my brother and i to my grandparent's place which was around that location before they went to work. every afternoon, my grandfather would promptly bring my brother and i down to wait for our school bus. whenever we passed by the neighbour who kept many cats as pets, my grandfather, knowing that i was terribly afraid of cats would never fail to protect me from them. he would also buy candies and chocolates for the two of us before our school bus came. he's a really great grandpa and i missed him dearly.

kinship is ever so dear.
